My name is Alex, and I’m a Misplaced Texan. I wasn’t born in Texas, but I got there within 9 months. My dad and Grandpop are both born and raised Texans and I had the good fortune of living in the hill country as a child. Since then, I’ve missed Texas, and have gone back for visits as often as possible. I’ve long called myself a Misplaced Texan, and a dream formed to create a place to share my love of all things Texas… thus Misplaced Texan was born….

Misplaced Texan is more community than brand. My desire is to have a place to share my love of Texas (and all of the photos and videos I’ve taken) with y’all! Whether you’re also a misplaced Texan, have the good fortune of being a Texan, or just dream of being one, howdy and welcome 🫶🏼
